I used to get in my head when people told me to “act more Indian.” Because how do you ACT Indian (I tried being a doctor, but I wasn’t Indian enough to get into medical school 🤷🏽♀️ )? But now I realize what a blessing that is. WE get to decide what it means to “act Indian” in America. And that’s such a privilege; and it’s one I do not take lightly. I’m never gonna do it perfectly, but I swear to you I keep US in mind with every move I make. I love y’all and I love us 🤎
