Alfred Hitchcock Instagram – Martin Scorsese took home the 2024 David O. Selznick Achievement Award for his “monumental achievements in more than six decades of producing” from the Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards event on Sunday, February 25th.
In 1965, Alfred Hitchcock received the PGA’s Milestone Award, referred to as the “most prestigious honor, recognizing an individual or team who has made historic contributions to the entertainment industry.”
In his speech at the awards ceremony on Sunday, Scorsese recalled his first time attending the ceremony, the same year as Hitchcock’s win. The director talked about memorable moments from Hitchcock’s speech, including some fantastic, infamous quotes and Hitchcock-isms we’ve come to know and love.
