And still never
Feel good enough.
You can be reborn,
And still feel torn
And scuffed.
You can be bright,
Still desperate for
Another’s spark.
You can be light,
And still feel left
In the dark.
Or, you could be
Grateful, fo every
Bit of joy.
You could learn
To love the man, and
Forgive the boy.
You could write,
With your windows
And heart wide open.
Every falling flake
Of snow holds poems
Still unspoken.
You could find them.
You could sing them
To me.
