Atul Kochhar Instagram – Coming from a Punjabi family, Lohri has always been special. There are so many memories that I have of this festival, like my mom used to make Sarso ka Saag with Makki ki Roti and for dessert we used to have this authentic Ganne Ke Rass Ki Kheer. 🤗
Sharing the easy and special recipe of Sugarcane Juice Rice Pudding (Ganne Ke Rass Ki Kheer) and wishing you all a very Happy Lohri 🙏🌼
Ingredients:
500 ml Sugarcane Juice
2-3 tbsp milk
Roasted Peanuts
Dried Cranberries
50 gm Rice
Method:
1) �Heat sugarcane juice on high heat until it boils.
2) �Reduce the heat to minimum and add 2-3 tbsp milk. Mix it well.
3) Remove the scum floating on top.
4) �Add soaked rice, stir it properly until you get a full boil.
5) �Reduce the heat to low and cover with a lid.
6) Check in between, cook it for another 5-6 minutes until it thickens.
7) Now add roasted peanuts, �give it a stir.
8) Add dried cranberries, the pudding is ready to be served hot.
