Babil Khan Instagram – Wisdom comes from love. Only love can convince one’s intellectuality to express itself in aid for the evolution of our united consciousness rather than intending to strengthen one’s own ego.
In that pursuit, it is necessary for one to learn to love themselves. Which is a dangerous thing, because the line between loving yourself with narcissism and loving yourself by falling in love with the nature that flows through you hence allowing it full freedom to express itself through the medium that you are, that line between the two is extremely illusive, translucent and thin. The practice of meditation with the intention of watching one’s self; not through ‘telling’ yourself to watch which inherently leads to you thinking about watching rather than actually watching yourself. Instead by just sitting in silence with a desire to watch yourself. To sit in silence means to allow your mind to think, to not fight it, to not try to make it stop thinking. Let it think, watch your thoughts, allow them to make you feel but still cultivate a discipline of not letting yourself dwell on a thought, to let the thought pass and flow as you experience them. This can enable within you a sense of self awareness and a courage to feel life and live it rather than looking for ways to escape. Watch yourself, your thoughts without reacting or getting overwhelmed or panicking about them, watch them with courage and remember no matter what the thought is, they are just thoughts, they don’t define who you are, the way you choose to react and eventually through practice give direction to the stream of your thoughts make you who you are. None of us are good or bad people. We are all messed up in our own ways, it is important to accept that. Don’t be good, don’t be right, be kind. Kindness can only come through this practice of watching and accepting yourself and finally being able to love yourself the right way. Be patient, and be kind to yourself.
