Daniel Cormier Instagram – Another season is in the books for our @gilroywrestling teams. We had a really good season, it seemed fast but what a ride. We had our state tournament this weekend and as always there are ups and downs but I could never question the effort these kids give me and our coaching staff. We had 3 state champions this year Daniel Zepeda, Cody Merrill and Moses Mirabal, 4 finalists combined, and 11 state medalists between our boys and girls teams. The boys’ team collected another team trophy scoring 206 team points and placing 3rd And our girls placed 4th scoring 69 team points Congrats to every kid who made the tournament and to all the coaches, parents and our great staff that made all this possible from coaches to support staff you are the backbone of our program. Guys help me congratulate the Mustangs. Let’s go, Gilroy. I’ve coached 5 state tournaments and we’ve brought 3 team trophies to the great town of Gilroy!
