Amy is my best friend.
Amy thinks that you can have more than one best friend, which I don’t think is a) possible or b) semantically correct, because if you have a best friend, they are your one best friend, which makes me saying that Amy is *my* best friend way more meaningful than when Amy does it, hurling around best friend declarations left right and centre, with no disregard for propriety or rankings.
Or maybe Amy just has so much room in her heart that she can think way more than just one person in her life is the best.
OK fine her way is better.
