lemons have a special meaning to nonbinary Viets. a new gender neutral pronoun, directly translating to “lemon,” was created from chị anh = chanh (feminine pronoun/sister masculine pronoun/brother = lemon). 🍋
our culture is constantly growing and evolving: i will never forget my roots, and the fruits that my tree bears will be dazzling to taste.
