Jake Busey Instagram – Well, this is an interesting one. Glad changes are being made. The heightened fear of guns on set after the accident has permeated all sets I’ve worked on since, and we just don’t need the “what if” factor anymore. It’s not the 1960’s. Culture has changed. Kids don’t get red rider BB guns for Christmas like we did. Cowboys aren’t heroes killing native Americans. The world is different, we’ve matured, and it’s good that the film industry is taking a step in a needed direction. We finished Rust at the end of may, in Montana. The experience was amazing and I can’t wait to see the film, as a lot of emotions went into this one. I didn’t know Halyna but I know a lot of her friends, and this film was finished with the utmost effort to pay homage and respect to her while exhibiting and sharing her last work with the world. She was an amazing woman from those I’ve spoken to. I’m so sorry to have not met her and though it is tragic, her memory is forever preserved in this film. We finished it in her honor. In somber mind, with loving hearts.
