John Legend Instagram – A word on the masterful @johnlegend and Bridge Over Troubled Water: Long before I thought to arrange the song for Djesse Vol. 4 (which drops on Thursday night !!!), I was an adorer of John’s rich vocal majesty, and his iconic North Sea Jazz rendition of the song. Naturally, when the idea came to feature three singers in sequence, I immediately thought of him. So I called him up, and a couple of days later, he sent me a vocal that blew my mind and roasted my heart. To me he is the glue which makes the song’s journey coherent. His storytelling is unmatched (not to mention, Eb major is undefeated). Thank you, John, for bringing so much heart, soul and power to this arrangement of mine. I am forever moved by your magic.
