Johnny Knoxville Instagram – Very sad to hear the news of Richard Lewis’s passing. I didn’t know him very well, I met him twice in my whole life but I was huge fan of his comedy. I was lucky enough to appear on a Conan O’Brien with him in 2002 along with David Bowie and honestly it was one of the best nights of my life. I was new to showbusiness and Jackass The Movie was the number one movie in America. I did alright in my segment and Richard Lewis absolutely murdered in his. He went on an every pun intended loooong tangent about seeing @shaq’s jim dog once and I was dying. Conan was too as u see in the clip. Then David Bowie comes out and after being super sweet to me before the show tells me and everyone watching how much he “adores jackass.” I was floored. It was a surreal evening, getting to do @teamcoco, to meet Bowie, to watch Richard annihilate like that, I just felt really grateful to be sitting on that couch witnessing that. They actually made a claymation of that episode and it may have won an award. But that doesn’t matter I got to share the stage with three icons that night and two are gone now. R.I.P. David Bowie (who I adore) and now R.I.P. the great Richard Lewis. ❤️Love, Knox
