King Charles III of the United Kingdom Instagram – The Duke of Edinburgh champions youth empowerment with the International Award in Uganda! 🇺🇬👏 🦒 This week, The Duke was in Uganda, where he met students participating in the programme and joined an Award in Action trip to a Wildlife Education Centre, where participants work as volunteers. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Uganda has supported over 200,000 young people over the last two decades and aims to reach as many young people across the country in the years to come. During HRH’s visit, The Duke met Ugandan youth leaders who have worked for positive impact in society in the areas of climate, IT, women empowerment, and entrepreneurship. 🤝 His Royal Highness also met President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda to discuss the merits of the International Award, and thanked the President for accepting the role of Patron of the Award in Uganda.
