Michael Dante DiMartino Instagram – I’m going through some of my photo archives of Avatar and Korra and came across these. Back in 2013, while we were working on Korra, @bryankonietzko @jds_77 #timhedrick and I visited master blacksmith @tony_swatton in Burbank. He gave us a tour of his shop and a demo of how he forged a replica of Sokka’s space sword out of a real meteorite! We took turns holding it and pretending we were Sokka. (Search for Sokka’s meteor sword on YouTube to watch the Man at Arms episode where Tony makes the sword. It’s pretty impressive.) ⚔️
