If you only needed one reason to watch @blackmaria.film, his portrayal as #MichaelAllende is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. I’m not overstating it when I say that this shoot and the two years that we spent working together to make this dream a reality, have changed my life as a filmmaker.
I wrote this role with no other actor but Michael in mind. What many people may not appreciate is that beyond his performance – which is extraordinary – this movie wouldn’t have been possible without him. Period. The countless hours of phone calls and intimate conversations tearing through every line of this script, the work he put in ensuring that the cast was at the quality we needed to thrive, the motivation and compassion he lent in those darkest hours is above all the most important relationship i’ve ever had as a director and an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life.
