today is the
International Human Rights Day. December 10th.
It’s 2022 and shameful violations of human rights are committed every day, with acts of violence that should not be ignored.
In Iran, #MashaAmini was arrested by the morality police for improper use of the veil, she was beaten and killed. She was 22 years old.
#MohsenShekari went to the streets in protest over Masha’s death. He was convicted and executed.
He was 23 years old.
In the streets of Iran, people, with courage, continue to demonstrate and demand their #freedom. They are being arrested and the executions don’t seem to stop.
Iran is among the three countries that @united_nations considers to violate human rights the most, alongside of North Korea and Syria.
The Iranian regime is responsible for the arrests and executions of political dissidents, journalists, practices torture and deprives citizens of basic rights such as freedom of expression and assembly.
We must hear the cries of young men and women echoing in the streets of Iran.
