Nicholas Aldis Instagram – Congratulations on an unbelievable career @stinger. I have often said that if you could choose any pro wrestling career to replicate, Sting’s could well be top of the list, particularly if you consider the respect and admiration he has from generations of fans and fellow performers. As a completely out-of-my-depth 22 yr old kid, I will never forget looking at the TV format for TNA Impact and wondering why @dougwilliamsgb and @officialrobterry were tagging together instead of Doug & I, only to find out it was because when management had asked Sting who he wanted to work with in the main event of Impact that day, he had requested me. I was in awe when I was standing in the ring during Sting’s entrance, and Doug snapped me out of it and said “game face mate time to go to work”. I fed all of Sting’s classic offense and happily tapped out to the scorpion deathlock. The next day, @realkevinnash passed me and said “I saw your match with Steve, good shit, you’re getting it”. That might have been generous, but my confidence got a much needed boost. For my entire TNA run, Steve Borden was the voice of authority advocating for me to get opportunities. Pro wrestling feeds my family, and Steve Borden is a big reason why. I’m so happy he got his flowers in such a big way and left on his terms.
