Vikas Khanna Instagram – AMBARSAR (Amritsar) is the only city in the World where I am asked to cook before I eat in almost every restaurant or community kitchen. And. I. Love. It. ❤️ @poojadhingra & @saffrontrail were asking for recommendations of places to eat in Amritsar & I took a journey through memory lane for my favorite places. Please feel free to suggest-add to it. Here are my humble recommendations. I do not include the Holy Kitchen of the Golden Temple as it’s beyond & also mandatory. ❤️🙏🏽 I love. 1. Kanha Puri. Lawrence Road 2. Outside DAV college is a aam papad chaat. 3. Sharma Gulab Jamun n Jalebi, Lawrence Road. 4. Maqbool Road ke Amritsari Kulchas 5. Bheera Chicken 6. Makhan Fish 7. Durga Fruit Cream 8. Sharma Boo wale Kulche 9. Sarhad restaurant near border 10. Kesar ka dhaba 11. Bansal Motichoor Ladoo 12. Kulfa Queens Road 13. Brijwasi Chaat 14. Gian & Ahuja Lassi 15. Dosa outside Shri Durgiana Mandir. Ek din main toh mushkil hai. 2-3 days to enjoy it under winter sun.
Vikas Khanna Instagram – Shooting back to back. Dishes, profiles, covers, new book. Though I was completely heartbroken from @americansikhfilm not selected for Academy shortlisting. But I’ve learnt a BIG lesson from our Exec Producer @guneetmonga Please bookmark her words – “Embracing rejection and failure as stepping stones toward success unleashes an unstoppable force within us!
