Dentro desta perspectiva, a Igreja procura viver de forma santa para se encontrar com Cristo, conforme o seu propósito sacrificial. “Teremos de ser santos antes de morrer, se quisermos ser santos quando estivermos na glória”, exorta-nos Ryle (1816-1900). Devemos viver como Ele viveu, erramos muito, errei muito, mas houve misericordia para mim e haverá para você também, devemos andar como Ele andou. Christ died for us so that he might present to us “a glorious church, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and without blemish” (Eph 5:27). Within this perspective, the Church seeks to live in a holy way to encounter Christ, according to his sacrificial purpose. “We must be saints before we die, if we want to be saints when we are in glory”, urges Ryle (1816-1900).
