We are sure that Putin is not interested only in territories: cities, villages, or Crimea and Donbas. He is interested in the complete destruction of Ukraine, in the annexation of all these lands of independent Ukraine. And he does these things either by force of arms or politically.
Ukrainians today are paying the highest price – our military are dying. But we really hope that our partners, including Italy, appreciate this and understand that we are paying the highest price. That all the leaders understand, their societies understand that if Ukraine falls, Russia will go further and definitely attack NATO countries.
In the interview with Bruno Vespa I spoke about the frozen conflict and why it is a serious challenge for all of us, and about the importance of the support from our partners, including Italy.

Visit to Türkiye. Istanbul. Shipyards where corvettes are built for our Navy. I inspected the readiness and equipment of the Ivan Mazepa corvette and spoke with Ukrainian Navy personnel. I thanked them for their service. We are strengthening our country.
I also inspected the construction of our second corvette of the Ada class and named it after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi.
I thank Türkiye’s President and all Turkish and Ukrainian defense companies for their partnership and for working together to bring peace closer and make it a lasting one.

Відбулись, як і завжди, цілком щирі та продуктивні перемовини Україна – Туреччина. В оборонній сфері і на урядовому рівні, і на рівні компаній наших держав досягнуто домовленостей про спільні проєкти.
Провів зустріч із представниками оборонно-промислового комплексу Туреччини – ми готові рухатися максимально оперативно в реалізації проєктів, які ми обговорювали. І я дуже задоволений розмовою з компаніями та бізнесом Туреччини, а отже, і тими результатами, які будуть, впевнений, – вони будуть сильними. Готові також швидко розв’язувати й усі питання щодо економічної співпраці, зокрема у відбудові, а також у просуванні необхідних нашим народам двосторонніх угод.

Talks between Ukraine and Türkiye are always sincere and fruitful. Today, we have reached agreements on joint defense projects both at the government level and between companies.
I met with the Turkish defense industry representatives. We are prepared to move quickly to put everything we discussed into action. I am very pleased with the discussions and confident that the results will be strong. We are also prepared to quickly resolve all issues concerning economic cooperation, including reconstruction, and advancing necessary bilateral agreements for our peoples.
Today, Ukraine and Türkiye signed an agreement to streamline trade and remove barriers for businesses. Several important documents were also signed at the level of the defense ministries.
Ukraine and Türkiye are strengthening each other, as well as our entire region.

I am grateful to President @rterdogan for his efforts to release our citizens from Russian captivity. Thanks to Türkiye’s mediation, we have achieved significant humanitarian results. We are now counting on further efforts.
Today, I submitted a list of our Ukrainian citizens, including Crimean Tatars, who have been repressed by Russia in Ukraine’s occupied territories and are being held in Russian prisons and camps under extremely harsh and inhumane conditions. We must release them all, both warriors and civilians, those who were captured while defending their people, and those who suffer Russian repression simply because of who they are — Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars, everyone. Such as Nariman Dzhelyal, Lenie Umerova, Server Mustafayev, and all other unlawfully detained persons. Every person deserves to live a dignified life in their own home and in peace.
Щоб людська спільнота стала нацією та державою, у найкращих характерів в країні мають бути такі серця, яким мало жити тільки для себе. Такі серця промовляють до тих, хто поруч. Дбають. Вчать – вчать розуміти. Обʼєднують. Захищають. Коли треба, рятують.
І в підсумку ми всі впізнаємо одне одного, чуємо одне одного, відчуваємо, що ми українці, українки. І так буде завжди. Завжди буде Україна.

For a human community to become a nation and a state, the country’s best characters must have hearts that cannot be satisfied with simply living for themselves. Such hearts communicate with those who are near. Take care of them. Teach to understand. Unite. Protect. Save, when needed.

Can modern long-range weapons or weapons corresponding to Russian systems in Ukraine’s arsenal change the course of the war? Yes, they will help us move forward.
Having powerful arsenal, sometimes it may not come to the use of some weapons. Because the enemy troops are afraid if you use this or that weapon, and they retreat.
In the interview with an Italian journalist, Bruno Vespa, I spoke about the importance of long-range weapons for the defense of Ukraine and the work of our country and partners to bring a just peace closer.
Part 2.
Today, I approved the candidate for the position of our country’s ambassador to the UK. General Valerii Zaluzhnyi told me that this is the direction he would like to take – diplomacy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has sent a corresponding request for agrément. Our alliance with Britain should only get stronger.
And today there are several decrees worth mentioning. I have signed two decrees on awarding state decorations to our warriors – 520 more servicemen of the Armed Forces. Each and every one of them deserves our gratitude and respect. And today there is also a decree to discharge conscripts – those who were called up for military service before the start of the full-scale invasion.
Now, at the request of the military command, a few weeks are needed for preparatory procedures – for replacing people in terms of defense tasks, and from April, the conscripts will be sent to the reserve. I know that some of them have signed a contract to serve in the Defense Forces. I am grateful to everyone.
