Dr. King said “Philanthropy is commendable, but it must not cause the philanthropist to overlook the circumstances of economic injustice which make philanthropy necessary.”
We have to fix the broken systems that continue to let people fall between the cracks.
That’s why on day 2 of our administration, we released our budget with historic investments in education.
There are no surprises in our budget. We’ve been talking about leading on these issues for two years.
If I said it, I meant it.
We don’t have to choose between being ambitious and being reckless. We don’t have to choose between being bold and being thoughtful. We can and will be both.
