Abbie Chatfield Instagram – There seems to be a recurring theme of those who post for IWD not making any effort the rest of the year. Staying silent on topics that actually affect women. A lot of the posting feels patronising and hollow. Rarely do you see further work done by most people/brands/companies who post for IWD. If you’re making real change, chances are you aren’t saving it just for today. Multiple times I’ve been asked to be on a panel with exclusively white wealthy women, to “inspire” others. So not only working for free but also not even speaking about real issues that affect women (especially those more marginalised than myself). Girl boss feminism will be the death of me. Comment companies or brands or people who are actually doing the work bc I know there are lots out there!!!!!
