Africa Miranda Instagram – some thoughts on #internationalwomensday…
when we say who we are and what we do, who do we mean? when we show up are we only doing it for the women who are versions of ourselves? the ones who are acceptable & present perfectly? thankful for the reminder from @blackliturgies today (and everyday!) of the interconnectedness of our freedom, our struggles and ultimately our liberation.
to make it plain this day and any day when I speak of my support, belief and celebration of women i mean trans women, queer women, women who have made mistakes, women who are figuring it out, women who have been forgotten, women who have been told they are too loud – too much. i am speaking about women however they choose to show up in this world.
i don’t say much on here anymore but as the world further descends into chaos and i continue to be a part of this global society it feels wild to just say nothing.
