🌹 On this day, 5 years ago (May 7, 2016). It’s me on the front cover of “Guardian Woman” in The Guardian Newspaper. The print feature was a three page spread minus cover (page 17-19). I still remember.😍☺️ 👉🏽 I talked about my passion, growing up in a creative family, the challenges women experience in the entertainment industry and how I combine my many interests. Of course, so much has happened since this interview was released. It’s been 5 years of continuous reinvention and progression. 🙌🏽 It was a double feature for Women of Rubies and The Guardian thanks to Esther Ijewere. Ah! Thank you Facebook for the reminder.😍 So Grateful. Always Grateful.🙏🏽 💕 #AlexOkoroji #QueenofExpression #FlashbackFriday #featured #mediacoverage #media #interview #news #entertainment #creative #tgif #flashback #nigeria #nigerian #grateful #womeninmedia
Fun Facts #2: In March 2019 (2 years ago) – I was introduced on a 3-Day Live broadcast on CNN International (Not CNN Africa but International) Lol. 😆😍 📍On CNN Newsroom Day 1 (March 12) by CNN Anchor, John Vause and Day 2 (March 13) by CNN Anchor, Rosemary Church and Day 3 (March 14) by anchor, George Howell. 👉 I collaborated with CNN International 3 years in a row. Was invited to participate in the CNN Freedom Project (2018, 2019 and 2020). 🙌🏽🙌🏽 👉 If you know me, you know that FREEDOM is my Jam. Heck “Freedom 90” by George Michael is one of my favorite songs. 😍😍Everything I teach and share about ‘The Naked Philosophy’ helps you develop a freedom mindset… because freedom is the ANTIDOTE to Fear – the #1 Self Sabotaging emotion of all. 😍 So grateful they shared my Freedom Day Message with the world. (Still gives me goosies , can’t lie)🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏽 👉 It was really an honor to add my voice to CNN’s Freedom Project, a March 14 Yearly Global Campaign tagged #MyFreedomDay to sensitize the world on Modern Day Slavery and Human Trafficking, plus what it means to be Free. Each year CNN asks Celebrities, Students and Influencers around the World to answer the important question “What Makes You Feel Free”. ✅ Slide 3 and 4 contains Screenshot of the Live TV Transcripts from CNN’s website. I think I wrote a blog post connected to this 2 years ago. You can find it on my website if you missed catching it on TV or Social Media.💕 💃 Definitely an experience I’m very proud of. #AlexOkoroji #QueenofExpression #funfacts

Fun Facts #1: 4 years ago, I was a celebrity guest on a TV Game Show. This has to be one of the most profound images of me…It’s the JOY for me.😍 See, I have quite a romance with Television. 👉 I’ve been on a game show. 👉I’ve been on a reality show. 👉I’ve played some of the best characters on many TV soap operas and drama series. 👉I was a Daytime TV Presenter for 3 different programmes. 👉I’ve voiced many TV commercials and I’ve been interviewed on many TV shows. 👉I certainly have a relationship with Television. I didn’t realise it but my relationship is deep. Yes – My career started on TV.😍 🙌🏽 But being a celebrity guest on the ‘Hot Seat’ of the 13th season of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” has to be the most challenging thing I’ve done on Television.🙈 No, it’s not playing a Muslim woman, “Zainab” on Tales of Eve or Playing “Betty” on Spider as @johnnjamah.film love interest. Or “Susan” on Tinsel as the lawyer/best friend to my ‘then’ real life husband’s “On-Screen Wife”, Amaka.😂 It wasn’t being Stella, one of the antagonists on Rush or Ajuma on “US”, Daisy in Heaven’s Gate or any character.😂 It was being “Alex Okoroji” on “Who Deserves To Be a Millionaire”… that had me sweating like crazy. 😆😂 Maybe it was the bright studio lights or Frank Edoho’s simmering sarcasm and humor, perhaps it was the large studio audience or the dire awareness of how much this money could change lives of the children at The Marquis Foundation. I knew Mrs Dada Marquis needed this money. Here, I am ready to play for Charity. Time to show my brilliance. Afterall at home, I answer all the questions correctly… ALWAYS. People say I’m intelligent. Bring it on! See Sweat!🤣🤣🤣 Dang, In studio participation hits different.😂 Pray not to pee on yourself. If it’s not your ‘doubt’ sashaying in front of everyone… it’s the click of the countdown timer, and Frank teasing you like a feather under a hairy armpit.🤣🙈 Every win comes with a sigh of relief…and joy. Immense Joy.💃 This has to be one of the best things I’ve done in my life. Winning money for Charity.👌🏽 We won 2 Million Naira.💃💃 #AlexOkoroji #QueenofExpression #WWTBAM #fbf #FlashbackFriday

Exactly this day last month on February 23, 2024, we wrapped up the 107th edition of the Women Economic Forum (WEF) which featured 3 days of dynamic conversations, connections and celebration at the @wefwestafrica edition held in Lagos, Nigeria, by honoring some amazing women & leaders with the prestigious WEF Awards at the Gala anchored by the gorgeous and talented @_victorywilson .😍 As President of WEF West Africa, it was my genuine pleasure to nominate some of these incredible honorees for their outstanding impact and contributions to driving society forward. It was also an honour to present their awards on behalf of my Chief soul sister, the Founder & Global Chairperson of Women Economic Forum (WEF), Dr Harbeen Arora Rai. You can find the full list of honorees and photos available on Monday 26th, 4pm WAT at the official WEF West Africa website at www.wefwestafrica.org. If you are on the email list. Look out for our upcoming newsletter featuring special updates on all of the exciting stuff coming up.😍❤️ Special thanks to everyone who made the event happen despite the challenges, from the organising committee, to the media team, the decorators, the staff at Westwood Ikoyi, our sponsors (FirstBank Nigeria, NPF Microfinance, Jaga Beauty), our partners and soul sisters in the G100, WICCI, SHEconomy community and every single person who contributed one way or another to see WEF West Africa 2024 actualise. We certainly look forward to doing it much bigger and better in 2025. P.S: IG Photos randomly selected by my mobile device🙈 Everyone honored on that day is incredibly special and highly valued. I’m grateful for the WEF platform and sisterhood that brings us all together. I celebrate YOU. March 10, 2024 (Intimate Elopement) in Harve de Grace, Maryland – Part 1 of this incredible journey with Eric. 😍 Looking forward to celebrating Part 2 with more family, friends and loved ones on his birthday. Yes, we decided to get married on both our birthdays. Intimate elopement ceremony on mine and the big wedding celebration with everyone on his.😆😍 More than anything else, I’m just grateful to have the love, support and friendship of a truly AMAZING man (and a bonus Dad for Ray). Yippee! Together, we start a new journey of our blended family with the love and encouragement of our dear family and friends. God is good! 🙌🏽❤️ #alexokoroji #birthday #pisces #bride #brideandgroom #justmarried #wedding #blessed #thankful #grateful #mrandmrs #love #joy #grace #goodvibes #ForeverMcGill
