Ally Walker Instagram – Happy New Year! Just found this clip from #GoodDayLA @foxla where the intention was to promote “The Protector” but mostly turned into a discussion on my documentary “For Norman: Wherever You Are.”
The film focuses on the foster system in Los Angeles, but could be anywhere in the United States. The film takes you inside the ‘business’ of fostering children in a way that no other has dared to do. It points out the flaws of the current system while never losing sight of the fact that a system is needed. It also shows how strong of a role poverty plays in the raising of children in this country. As it’s now winter, the enormity of the issue is heightened.
