I felt a wave of emotion crash over me when I saw her. She said, “I feel bad that I make people cry.” I said, “Don’t feel bad. You change people on a cellular level.” Jane looked at me dead in the eye and replied, “Please don’t call it cellular. It makes it sound too scientific. Call it ‘spiritual’.” Indeed, Dr. Goodall. You affect me, and so many others, on a spiritual level. And to be able to share this experience with my bestie from highschool—made it all the more sweet.
