Annie Lennox Instagram – Dear Friends, Described as the worst catastrophe in Jewish history since the 1940’s – the events of Oct 7th, where over 1,200 people were killed in one day have left Israelis and the Jewish diaspora profoundly traumatised, terrorised and angry. The families and friends of the victims and hostages endure agonising grief, loss and despair. I feel absolute compassion and empathy for everyone affected. While in Gaza… The world has been watching the systematic brutal destruction of an entire population of over 2.3 million people for 5 hellish months, with relentless bombing, shooting, bulldozing, displacement and starvation, as well as the collapse of the entire infrastructure. Over 31,000 Palestinians have been killed, with over 70,000 wounded -( many with missing limbs) How many more lives must it take to end this appalling Armageddon? #ceasefire #stopthegenocide
