Bellamy Young Instagram – What a DAY! Got to join my dear friend @jsinger10 in #NewHaven to celebrate his journey as a #screenwriter & his most recent film #Maestro. First time I’ve gotten to go back to #Yale since I graduated! Think I was afraid they’d realize their mistake & repossess my diploma. But they didn’t!!🎉 And we had the BEST DAY! Thank you, @crystalnfeimster , #DanielBotsman, @nydiadc , Olivia , @yalefilm , @piersoncollegeyale , & Stanley the cat for welcoming me along for the ride & for fêting Josh so superbly. 🤓 And Josh, thank you for sharing your day with me. It really meant the world. 🥰 Josh & I actually didn’t meet until we’d both graduated & were living in #LA, so it was fun to show each other the spots that meant the most to each of us during our college years. To that end, see above my freshman dorm (looking good, #BinghamHall 🤩), #OldCampus (where too much went down to chronicle), the #DiningHall in @hoppercollege (then #calhoun) where I went #vegan in 1988😄, & a loving shot of #HarknessTower. 🥰 Yesterday made me so grateful that I got to go to college at all, much less there. I learned a ton- less about physics than I hoped😄🤦🏻‍♀️, but so much about literature, & theater, & most of all myself. But above all, I’m grateful to my mom: she let me go so far away, even after having just been widowed, & (along with the generous #FinancialAid Yale granted me & the #scholarships I’d gotten,) she paid on those college fees til they were gone, which meant I left school debt-free. I am on my knees grateful for what she sacrificed so I could have the education of my dreams. Thank you, mom. Hope everyone is having as beautiful a weekend as possible.
