Claudia Sandoval Instagram – I have thought long and hard about what I wanted to post about today on International Women’s Day.
While many of you know parts of my story many of you don’t know it all. At 31 years of age, I auditioned for MasterChef with less than $30 dollars in my bank account. Sharing a 1 bedroom apartment with my daughter and my sister because I had left a domestic violence situation a few years back and was finally getting on my feet. For many years I have chosen to keep it silent and private but as I look upon the long way ahead for women, it is worthwhile to look back to see how far you have come.
On this day, I am proud of the woman I have become. The Woman who raised an incredible daughter all on her own (with the help of my village). A woman who cried, sacrificed, and risked it all to give us a better life.
On this day I want to remind You woman. That at any age you can change your life. At any moment you can leave. At any time you can quit your job and start again. Your purpose is YOU. And if anyone can do it, a woman can. I see you. Especially those of you fighting for your lives day in and day out. Don’t you dare quit. Just keep going. You’re unstoppable.
