Eden Riegel Instagram – A year of selfies with my sweetie to celebrate the day of his birth! This year has been a toughie. Like, yikes! Sometimes it felt like we were just surviving, and barely at that. But new challenges meant seeing him rise to the occasion and step up for our family again and again. He just keeps finding new ways to make me fall in love with him. Our partnership means we’re never alone facing obstacles, difficulties are more tolerable because they are shared, we have each other to take on burdens when one of us doesn’t feel strong enough. This year I asked Andrew to be funny and silly and let his wit shine even when I’m sad — maybe especially when I’m sad — and he’s found the strength to do it, because I asked. His ability to stay buoyant in hard times is what makes him the backbone of our family. His sense of humor is our secret weapon. There’s no one else on earth I can imagine walking through this life with. It just wouldn’t be this good.
