I was born and raised in San Antonio, so the Spurs have and will be MY team for my entire life. It was an honor to sing to a sold out @frostbankcenter arena in my hometown. AND at @wemby ‘s first @nba game! #GoSpursGo 🏀
My father, @hendersonjcmd , is an @usairforce Veteran and to stand before the Color Guard from the base where I was born and he served and sing our nation’s anthem was a moment I’ll never forget. Thank you all for your service. 🇺🇸
Sharing this experience with my mom, @juli.henderson , was so incredible. Outside of being the best mom in the world, she is an incredible vocalist, recording artist, and voice teacher. I grew up watching her blow the roof off the @alamodomesa singing the Star Spangled Banner at Spurs games. What a full circle moment to attempt to stand in her shoes. You could say I get it from my mama. 😜
