Fearne Cotton Instagram – Happy mothers day. 💜 You never quite know what you’re going to get with Lin. I wasn’t necessarily expecting this last weekend. I have used this song because this is what she was actually dancing to. 🤣 Today I will be giving thanks for my mums tenacity and sometimes rebellious nature. She gives me the confidence to stand up for what I believe in and to not take no for an answer. My mums determination has given me the strength to look for new avenues when doors close and her hard graft with multiple jobs when I was a kid has instilled a work ethic in me that I’m very grateful for. As a mum myself I know how tough, confusing and exhausting it is, so want to say a huge well done to all the mums out there that often put themselves at the bottom of the pile, are always on call and rarely get to stop. You’re all simply amazing. Being a mum is a real joyful privilege and one I’m utterly grateful for, but I don’t think we talk about how tough it is too. To all the mums…I see you, I hear you. I also acknowledge how painful today is, if like my husband, you’ve lost your mum. Happy mothers day to all the heavenly mums out there. Your love and sacrifice will not be forgotten. 🙏 I’m also thinking about and praying for all of those who are going through fertility treatment at the moment. If today is too painful for you, shut shop, be kind to yourself and go gentle today. And love and prayers to any one else, for whatever reason, finds today tough. Love and peace. ❤️
