Gina Yashere Instagram – This was a story, lamenting the damage done to my deck by this week’s crazy wind, but then it turned into a celebration of what I’ve achieved in the last 17 years since I left the UK, so I thought I’d post it too. This is my thought of the day. Do not be afraid to jump in that sea of uncertainty, and go find your true destiny. I left a reasonably comfortable life in the UK, left everything and everyone I knew behind to go some place where I thought my talents might receive greater recognition. It took 12 years of hard hustle in this country, but everything good is worth waiting for 😜. I HAVE NO REGRETS. UK’s loss is America’s gain. I’m glad my country of birth failed & continues to fail me. Otherwise I’d still be there, begging for crumbs instead of being out here building my own damn table.
