Jacolby Satterwhite is a brilliant artist, visionary, and being. Leading up to this installation and series, we had long talks which included both laughter and tears. So moved by his depth, intelligence, humor, talent, and bravery.
In the words of the New York Times: “A Metta Prayer,” turns the museum’s solemnity into a funky, queer-infused love poem to the universe, set to an acid house beat….A metta prayer is a peaceful wish for compassion in the Buddhist tradition”
