Home Actress Jaimie Alexander HD Instagram Photos and Wallpapers March 2024 Jaimie Alexander Instagram - Cheers to another great day in The Gambia that started with homemade tea given to me by these wonderful women farmers & entrepreneurs. We started at Kalaji women’s community garden, one of 120 Self Help Africa gardens across 4 regions of The Gambia. The women greeted us like good friends & gave me a new Gambian name, Isatou. ♥️ This garden is the ONLY source of income for these women and another Self Help Africa project makes sure they receive a fair price for the vegetables they work so hard to grow. The Market Information Systems project provides access to information through a WhatsApp chatbot, or SMS or voicemail, so everyone is included, regardless of literacy level.

Jaimie Alexander Instagram – I loved meeting the inspiring Isatou Ceesay, founder of the Women’s Initiative Gambia ❤️🇬🇲

Isatou began a one woman mission in 1997 to stop plastic bag waste. Now, Women’s Initiative Gambia is working with @selfhelpafrica across 75 communities and 28 schools, providing opportunities for women and young people to become entrepreneurs and environmental heroes.

Isatou and her team recycle materials in all sorts of incredible ways, making furniture from car tires, fire briquettes from cassava and coconut and more. Menstrual hygiene pads made by Women’s Initiative are making it possible for many more women and girls to confidently attend school more regularly, too ❤️
