Jaimie Alexander Instagram – Cheers to another great day in The Gambia that started with homemade tea given to me by these wonderful women farmers & entrepreneurs. We started at Kalaji women’s community garden, one of 120 Self Help Africa gardens across 4 regions of The Gambia. The women greeted us like good friends & gave me a new Gambian name, Isatou. ♥️ This garden is the ONLY source of income for these women and another Self Help Africa project makes sure they receive a fair price for the vegetables they work so hard to grow. The Market Information Systems project provides access to information through a WhatsApp chatbot, or SMS or voicemail, so everyone is included, regardless of literacy level.
