For more than a year, I’ve been partnering with Novartis on More Than Just Words, an extremely important initiative promoting health equity in Black breast cancer care, where there is a significant unmet need. I have been so proud to work alongside remarkable forces – @drmoniquegary, @truejamilkali and @rickidove – these women do such incredible work for Black women living with breast cancer!
More Than Just Words is committed to raising awareness and creating solutions that work to improve health outcomes for the Black breast cancer community, helping to close the gap as it relates to disparities in breast cancer care.
Over the past few months, the initiative has held pop-up events at community gatherings in New Orleans, Martha’s Vineyard, and Atlanta – with more to come! At these events they have provided breast cancer risk assessments, screening and awareness resources, as well as showcased Black artists creating powerful murals that highlight the patient experience. I’m honored to share the incredible work of artists, Ashe Jenner(@livingwallsatl) and Sheena Wong Shue (@sheenawongshue). I was blown away at the way they highlighted the unique challenges that Black women with breast cancer face in their day-to-day lives.
Racial disparities in breast cancer care have existed far too long. I’m honored to be a part of MTJW’s efforts to move beyond dialogue into real change. #NovartisContributer

I, unfortunately, won’t be playing Manifesto Toronto this Friday. This was a very difficult decision for me and I’m so sorry I can’t be there with you all. To my fans, please know I would never cancel a show unless it was absolutely necessary. I hope to be back in Toronto soon. Thank you to @davido for stepping up last minute and saving the day. Love u all ♥️
