Jo Frost Instagram – How many of you felt uncomfortable reading this post? If you did, it was intentional, in a good way for it begs the question of why you continue to cross physical boundaries at that judo, swimming, ballet, football, singing lesson. It’s a question worth answering right? So many parents think they are helping their child however what happens is that your interference by stepping in or shouting over to your child distracts your childs focus to pay attention and listen,take direction from the main adult teacher and this is the skills they need to learn beyond you to sharpen their abilities, instead they then start to take direction from you looking for your approval and guidance. You heard the story about too many chefs in the kitchen….🥴 Know that your presence is powerful enough, and when they next look over just smile or a thumbs up and then break the eye connection so they can shift their energy back to the coach ,let the teachers do their job so your child gets the most out them and of course the fun activity you have afforded them.
