Peanuts creator, Charles Schultz created the 1st black character in his comic strip, Peanuts, which inspired Robb to follow suit. Schultz respected his work so much he named the character after Robb by naming the boy Franklin Armstrong. Robb also co-wrote the Apple TV special WELCOME HOME FRANKLIN.
