Stinky Horn on the front lines circa 1970s, defending the rights and sovereignty of her fellow members of the cat nation. Inspired by the people who protested at Ahkwesasne in 1968, (which can be seen in the movie You Are On Indian Land available on @onf_nfb website), including my mother, uncle and the artist who I commissioned this from @bruce.boots family.
Niawen to all the Onkwehonwe people who continuously fought for our rights, especially during the movement in the 60s and 70s, this is a nod to youz. ✊🏼
Also shout out to the cats protesting in the crowd, Boodz, Smudge, Athehsha and Atahonhtha.
