Katie Couric Instagram – Thousands of blue flags have been set up along the National Mall in Washington DC to support more research, funding, and treatement options for colorectal cancer. The installation, organized by Fight Colorectal Cancer (@fightcrc), features 27,400 blue flags, representing the number of people, under 50 who are projected to be diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2030. Colorectal cancer is now the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men under 50 and second among young women, trailing only breast cancer. That’s why regular screening and early detection is SO IMPORTANT❗️Please, please speak to your doctor if you haven’t already.
