please also understand the pain that is caused when narratives are perpetuated like “leaving the church seemed popular on TikTok” and asking people to stay silent when they leave. we didn’t get lazy, most of us fought like crazy to stay, because we desperately wanted to.
i’m glad @bradrwilcox asked this guy “why,” but stories like his are the EXCEPTION, not the norm.
