In the strife-torn Mizoram of 1966, two friends, Captain Samuel Rego and MNF commander ‘Che,’ find themselves on opposing sides of a brutal war. Samuel, facing a moral dilemma, chooses a path that turns them into fugitives. “If I Have to Be a Soldier” explores identity, survival, betrayal, and love amid India’s secretive conflict. This session of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 features Nikhil J. Alva in conversation with Koël Purie Rinchet with the book launched by Mukund Padmanabhan.
