For the next generation! Weather presenters like me are one of the main ways you hear about climate change, how bad it is and why we need to take action. 🌎 This week the ‘state of the climate 2023’ report is issued showing last year, unsurprisingly shattered records. -2023 hottest year ever recorded (by far) -Hottest 10 years on record -Record GHG levels -Ocean heat unprecedented -Antarctic sea ice record low -Glacier retreat worst on record 🌎 So this year the WMO has asked children from across the World to do weather forecasts for their future for 2050 to show what the world could look like, to bring home the impacts of climate change on the next generation.
