Mel B Instagram – I am soooo proud to be part of 50 years of @womens_aid Its been such a huge part of my life cos when I first wrote my book brutally honest soo many publishrs didnt want to know no one wanted to hear me talking about abuse until I found the right people and then Teresa Parker from women’s aid came to me and said my book was the most realistic version of an abusive marriage and asked me to be patron it was such a huge moment I felt believed I felt seen and heard and from then on I felt like I had my own army of women behind me its my privilge to be patron to speak to break the silence its an incredible organisation helping hundreds of thousands of women and men all over the country we want to ge heard about abuse financial abuse reforming the courts abuse effects 1 I. 4 it’s not a statistic its an epidemic and I salute these women 50 years on
