Nandini Sree Instagram – This was a difficult read I’m not going to lie but I’m glad I persisted. Breasts and Eggs has been rated one of the best selling females voices from Japan and for the right reasons.
As it beautifully portrays the extremely ordinary lives of women in Japan I found it mirroring my own thoughts in many ways. The protagonist who’s traversing through her mid life made me think about some interesting thoughts which I have carried with myself and still carrying. Sometimes you end up picking certain books at the right time in your life and this was definitely one. The not so exciting pace of the story took a turn when I literally gasped at the end when I found what the reader in me was waiting for.
But all said it was very slow and hard for me to get into the flow of the story. There were times I even thought I’ll just give up. I’m glad I didn’t 🙂
