Some of the many words that have always followed me. Said by women to a woman.
I always wonder what I would say given the chance if I could go back in time to being this young woman.
Duck you tbh but more importantly what would I tell myself.
I practise an exercise with my daughter (and will with my son) where I get her to engage in the amazing things she did that day…
We think of all the things her feet helped her to do… Hopping, skipping, climbing, running etc. I’m not quite sure where we’re going with it yet but I’m hoping it’s the start of building a greater appreciation for her body than I had for mine until I went through the phenomenal changes of pregnancy and childbirth.
I feel so sad that I ever thought any unkind things about this young woman or allowed others to be anything other than kind about her.
