It’s a royally good week on Table Manners, we have our very first royal on the podcast; Princess Eugenie popped round for brunch! She was an absolute delight and we couldn’t wait to ask all about table manners in the royal household. We found out all about how she spends half the year living in Portugal, that she thinks she could win an Olympic Gold medal for sleeping, her love of tequila on the rocks, learning the art of small talk from her granny (The Queen), and how she navigated getting a job while being a member of the royal family, plus the revelation that she has never heard of an air fryer!! My new best mate ‘Euge’, we absolutely love you, and we can’t wait for another catch up again soon. A look back at last week with @worldeconomicforum ✨
In the morning of Tuesday 16th January we headed to @goalshouse where @PrincessEugenie, Julia de Boinville, the Rt. Hon. @theresamay , and John Schultz hosted an interactive panel discussion alongside Jose Manuel Barroso about the importance of elevating modern slavery to the highest levels of corporate board, corporate executive, and government leadership.
In the evening we explored how the power of Artificial Intelligence can be both a cause of, and solution to, modern slavery alongside The Rt. Hon. Theresa May, and @lisakristinephotography , delivered opening remarks at the Modern Slavery in the Age of AI reception hosted by @hpe Hewlett at AI House Davos.
We rounded our week off at @worldeconomicforum where @princesseugenie was a discussion leader at the WEF event, Frontier Action Against Trafficking and Modern Slavery in Europe. Here, she discussed her own personal experience and leadership, and how she thinks leaders can take action in resolving human trafficking and forced labour in Europe in 2024.
This was a really impactful and exciting week, proving that togetherness increases awareness of Modern Day Slavery enabling us to make a bigger change, faster.
