Sipiwe Moyo Instagram – I proudly took my 100th #slt class today @sltnyc! I’m not a skinny minny and never will be – just not in my genetic cards. Despite that, each week I’ve taken my curvy African body to a class where I’m usually the only black woman and the only person over a size 6. While admiring the Cartier bracelets of my classmates, I work hard to focus on my health and strength — not just physical, but also mental. It’s been a very challenging year, to say the least, with loss, child care responsibilities, elder care stress, an actors’ strike, and various other bumps along the way, but when I get on the #Megaformer it’s just me, the instructor’s voice, and my will to keep going. And lots of sweat 💦 For that hour, everything else melts away and afterwards, I’ve done something really hard and really good for MYSELF.
