Sophie Grégoire Instagram – To my daughter Ella-Grace, To my fellow mothers and sisters around the globe, And last but not least, To my sons, Xavier and Hadrien, Are your basic human rights being respected today? Do you have access to education and a peaceful space to grow in? Are you able to express your authentic self? We are lucky enough to be free, while millions of women and girls have no other choice but to answer “no” to all of these questions. Let’s keep fighting for justice. Let’s be defiant and accept ourselves and our neighbours as they are. Let’s elect responsible officials who carry and promote values of compassion and unity. Let’s keep educating in order to understand…and love. And let’s remember all the trailblazers who paved the way before us. We will never stop the work for more equality. Thank you Forbes 30/50 for honouring Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, first-elect female African head of state and for bringing women from all walks of life to this incredible gathering.
