I am Thali Garcia, a Mexican actress, mother of two children, and a freelancer for the past 13 years at Telemundo NBC, one of the companies owned by Comcast. I would like to respectfully request your support in paying special attention to the situation I have been facing for the past few months. I am just a woman raising my voice to defend my labor rights and my integrity as a human being. I have been fighting for many years to forge an honest career and earn a small space in this complex industry. Yo tenía 14 años cuando conocí a Gabi, automáticamente se convertiría en mi mejor amiga, ella me vio en medio de un mundo donde todo me hacía sentir invisible. Ella me inspiró junto con mis padres a siempre creer en mi, a que me fuera de Hermosillo a perseguir un sueño. Sueño que muchas veces pareció imposible. Con los años apareció Gabo, el otro mejor amigo que no soportaba porque tóxica si soy y a gabi la quería solo para mí; aprendimos a compartirla, con el tiempo nos convertimos en los 3 mosqueteros, amigos por casualidad, familia por elección. Después de 17 años de amistad, un divorcio, la llegada de un nuevo integrante y 2 niños maravillosos, hoy esos 3 mosqueteros se convirtieron en 4. Aparte de mis padres, mi hermana y mis hijos. Estos 3 seres son: mi verdadera resistencia. Los amigos, en realidad son la familia que nosotros elegimos para compartir lo bueno y lo malo. No se necesitan muchos, se necesitan verdaderos. Lealtad y agradecimiento, dos valores importantes que muchos deberían de aprender. Que ruede el mundo, nosotros juntos pa’ siempre.
